The service road near Perungudi MRTS station has turned into a dump site for construction debris and plastic waste, causing severe traffic disruptions. Underground electricity cable work further narrows the road, compounding the problem for commuters. Despite regular clean-ups by the Chennai Corporation, nighttime dumping persists due to anti-social elements.

The civic body plans to impound vehicles involved in illegal dumping and has urged vacant plot owners to erect compound walls. Additionally, stray cattle on Tambaram roads add to commuter woes, necessitating a permanent solution from local authorities.
