Death Toll Nearing 4,000 in Gaza-Israel Conflict as Violence Continues
The death toll in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip is approaching 4,000 as the violence entered its 10th consecutive day. Official Israeli sources reported that over 1,300 people have been killed on the Israeli side since the conflict began on October 7. Meanwhile, in Gaza, the death toll has reached 2,670, with over 9,600 injuries, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
In the past 24 hours, Gaza reported 455 fatalities and 856 injuries. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs noted that the current death toll in Gaza has exceeded the total number of fatalities during the 2014 escalation. With approximately 600,000 people displaced in Gaza, the UN has called on Israel to allow humanitarian aid into the region.
