Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has expressed his condolences to the Moroccan Prime Minister and offered aid following the devastating earthquake in Morocco. In a letter, the Dalai Lama expressed his sadness over the earthquake, which has claimed the lives of over 2,100 people and left thousands more injured.
He extended his sympathies to the families of the victims and praised the Moroccan government’s efforts in providing support for rescue and relief operations. As a gesture of solidarity, the Dalai Lama’s foundation, the Gaden Phodrang Foundation, will make a donation to support these efforts. The earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.8, struck central Morocco on September 8, causing significant loss of life and damage.
