Mother India’s Crochet Queens (MICQ), a renowned all-women group of crochet enthusiasts, is set to attempt its fifth Guinness World Record on February 4 at SRM University. The group aims to knit the maximum number of crochet scarves for cancer survivors, adding to its existing records. MICQ, founded by Subhashri Natarajan, who lost her husband to blood cancer last year, finds purpose in supporting this cause.
The event was postponed in 2023 and faced a hiatus due to the pandemic. MICQ initially entered the Guinness World Records in 2016 by creating the world’s largest crochet blanket and continued breaking records annually.
