The corporation has decided to develop Broadway into a multi-modal hub at a cost of ₹300 crore. In a resolution passed on Friday, the council has approved the project to be executed through viability gap funding under the Public Private Partnership model.
The decision comes as there has been a delay in implementing the proposal. The aim is to transform Broadway into a vibrant and integrated transportation hub that caters to various modes of transport, including buses, metro, and pedestrian facilities.
The project will enhance connectivity, improve traffic management, and provide better amenities for commuters. The corporation is actively seeking private partners to collaborate and ensure the successful execution of the project.
