Controversy Emerges as Headmaster Accused of Forcing Brahmin Student to Consume Eggs
A government-run school in Amrita village, Karnataka, finds itself embroiled in controversy as a Brahmin student’s father accuses the headmaster and an assistant of forcing his vegetarian daughter to consume eggs. Srikanth, the aggrieved father, lodged a complaint with the education department, alleging that the incident hurt religious sentiments.
The school, KPS Primary School in Amrita, adheres to the state government’s nutrition program, distributing eggs and bananas twice a week to students. This development has sparked debate, given previous objections by religious pontiffs against the distribution of eggs on school premises.
The complaint has been filed with Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa, the Principal Secretary, the Deputy Director of the Education department, and the local MLA, seeking action against the accused educators.
