Construction Worker Murdered and Buried in Perungudi
The Thoraipakkam police have apprehended two individuals from Coimbatore for their involvement in the murder and burial of a 39-year-old construction worker in Perungudi. The victim, M. Muthu, went missing, prompting his sister to file a complaint with the authorities. Investigations revealed that Muthu frequently clashed with M. Chandru and K. Raja, also workers at the construction site.
The suspects, during interrogation, confessed to the murder, citing Muthu’s alleged bullying behavior. On March 24, following a confrontation, the duo fatally stabbed Muthu and concealed his body. Subsequently, with the assistance of revenue officials, the victim’s remains were recovered for a post-mortem examination, leading to the arrest of the perpetrators and the recovery of the murder weapon.
