Congress’ Telangana President to Challenge Chief Minister KCR

In a significant development for the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, the President of Congress in Telangana, is set to take on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) in the Kamareddy constituency. The Central Election Committee of the Congress has officially cleared Revanth Reddy’s name for the Kamareddy seat, marking his presence in the third list of candidates released by the party.

Notably, both Revanth Reddy and KCR are contesting from two seats each in the elections. While KCR is seeking re-election from Gajwel and Kamareddy, Revanth Reddy is also running in his home constituency of Kodangal in Mahabubnagar district. This strategic move by the Congress sets the stage for a high-stakes political battle in Telangana.
