Congress MPs Protest for Bangladesh’s Minorities with Handbags

On December 17, 2024, Congress MPs, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, staged a protest at Parliament, demanding justice for Hindus and Christians in Bangladesh who are reportedly facing atrocities. The MPs carried handbags with the message “Stand with minorities of Bangladesh” written on them, raising slogans to urge the Indian government to take action.

Priyanka Gandhi, in a cream-colored handbag, highlighted her solidarity with the minority communities, echoing similar calls made a day earlier. On December 16, during the Zero Hour in Lok Sabha, she urged the Indian government to raise the issue of persecution with the Bangladesh government and extend support to those affected. This protest aligns with Congress’ ongoing efforts to highlight the plight of minorities abroad.
