Congress Criticizes PM Modi’s Silence on Key Issues
The Congress party launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of maintaining a “studied silence” on crucial issues. Just ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Haryana to inaugurate development projects, the opposition party highlighted concerns regarding the Agnipath military recruitment scheme, farmers’ demands for MSP guarantee, and allegations of sexual harassment against a BJP MP. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh specifically questioned PM Modi’s stance on these issues, emphasizing the discontent among potential Agniveer recruits and farmers protesting against the government’s indifference.
Ramesh also demanded clarity on the Prime Minister’s response to the harassment allegations against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, questioning whether Modi considers him part of ‘Modi ka Parivar.’ The Congress’s criticism underscores the mounting pressure on PM Modi to address these pressing concerns amid growing discontent among various sections of society.
