Congress and Communist Parties to Release Joint Manifesto in Andhra Pradesh

Former Union Minister Pallam Raju, chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Congress’ Election Manifesto Committee, announced plans for a joint manifesto with the Communist Party of India and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) during the party’s second manifesto committee meeting. Raju criticized the Jagan Mohan Reddy government for allegedly driving the state into a severe economic crisis and accused both the ruling YSRCP and the opposition TDP of betraying the people.

He highlighted issues such as neglect of the Polavaram project, privatization of ports, attempts to sell the Visakhapatnam Steel plant, and the absence of a proper state capital. The committee aims to thoroughly discuss various welfare measures for students, women, farmers, Dalits, and Girijans before finalizing the manifesto for approval by the party leadership in Delhi.
