Confusion Over Teacher Recruitment Test Amid Election Code

Candidates awaiting the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT-DSC-2024) faced uncertainty on Friday as the examination, originally scheduled from March 30 to April 30, 2024, was postponed due to the implementation of the election Model Code of Conduct. Despite Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena’s clarification to postpone the exam, lack of clarity persisted as the Education Department awaited permission from the Election Commission of India (ECI) to release the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) results and conduct the DSC.

This ambiguity left aspirants like Samayam Hemanth Kumar and Venkatesh Pochanapeddi in distress, urging for a clearer statement from the department. With no official update, candidates like Voli Santosh remained uncertain about whether to continue preparation or wait for further instructions. The School Education Department’s Principal Secretary, Praveen Prakash, reiterated the department’s stance, indicating that clarity would be provided upon receiving clearance from the ECI.
