Comprehensive Preparations Underway for Vote Counting in Belagavi
Senior officials, including Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil and Police Commissioner Iada Martin Marbaniang, inspected the vote counting arrangements at Rani Parvati Devi College in Belagavi ahead of the Lok Sabha election results. Ensuring adherence to Election Commission of India guidelines, the strong room housing voting machines will be opened in the presence of observers and candidates.
With a voter turnout of 71.49%, preparations include dedicated rooms for postal votes, technical support from eight technicians, and deployment of 552 supervisors and counting staff. Strict security measures, including CCTV and drone monitoring, have been implemented, alongside bans on liquor and victory processions near the counting centre. The officials also reviewed logistics for traffic, parking, and catering to ensure a smooth and transparent vote counting process.
