College Student Murdered with Rod in Delhi Park; Accused Arrested
Tragedy struck in Delhi today as a college student, identified as Nargis, was brutally killed in an attack with a rod at a park near Aurobindo College in Malviya Nagar. The 25-year-old victim, a student of Kamala Nehru College, had visited the park in the company of her 28-year-old male friend, Irfan. However, the outing took a horrifying turn when Irfan allegedly attacked Nargis with a rod, resulting in fatal injuries to her head.
South Delhi DCP, Chandan Choudhary, confirmed the incident, stating, “We received information that the body of a 25-year-old girl was found near Aurbindo College in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. She had come to the park with her friend, and there are injuries on the deceased’s head.” The police arrested Irfan at the scene of the crime after finding the rod near Nargis’s lifeless body.
Police sources revealed that the accused, Irfan, had romantic intentions towards Nargis, desiring to marry her. However, the girl’s family rejected his proposal, leading to a cessation of communication between Nargis and Irfan. This shocking incident has prompted a thorough investigation by the authorities, and it has sent shockwaves through the community.
