Meteorological authorities have reported a significant drop in temperatures across central and eastern China, with a cold wave expected to persist over the next 10 days. Inner Mongolia and northeast China have experienced temperature declines ranging from 6 to 17 degrees Celsius due to the current cold wave. The National Meteorological Centre anticipates another round of strong cold air sweeping through central and eastern China from November 26 to 28.
The forecast includes potential temperature drops of 4 to 6 degrees in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and up to 12 degrees in parts of Inner Mongolia and northeast China. Alongside temperature decreases, strong winds and gales are predicted in northwest China and coastal areas. Furthermore, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, and Heilongjiang are expected to face moderate to heavy snowfall from November 26 to 27, with potential snowstorms in certain regions.
A renewed blue alert for gales has been issued, cautioning about strong winds affecting Gansu, Qinghai, Xizang Autonomous Region, the Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Channel, and the South China Sea. Authorities have advised ships in affected areas to be vigilant, while relevant departments are urged to take preventive measures against fires and ensure transport safety.
