CMRL Initiates Relaying of Pothole-Ridden Arcot Road Between Vadapalani and Porur

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has commenced the process of relaying the pothole-ridden stretch of Arcot Road between Vadapalani and Porur in response to numerous complaints from commuters. According to CMRL officials, the relaying work began on Tuesday, and it’s expected to be completed within the next 20 days.

They are closely monitoring the project to ensure there is no compromise in quality. This initiative comes after months of distress for commuters who have been dealing with congestion and poor road conditions in this area. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has also announced plans to inspect the condition of the city’s roads. Commuters have long expressed concerns about the lack of footpaths and safety hazards on this stretch, especially during and after heavy rainfall.
