CM Stalin Questions AIADMK’s Stand on NEET Abolition While Partnering with BJP

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has questioned the AIADMK’s credibility for demanding the abolition of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) while staying in alliance with the BJP, the party that supports NEET.

Speaking at a public meeting, Stalin said that the AIADMK cannot claim to oppose NEET while it continues to work closely with the BJP. He accused the AIADMK leaders of trying to mislead the people of Tamil Nadu by speaking against NEET only during elections.

Stalin reminded the public that the BJP-led central government introduced NEET and has strongly supported it ever since. He pointed out that the AIADMK, as a political ally of the BJP, did not do enough to stop NEET when it was in power. According to Stalin, if AIADMK truly wanted to remove NEET, it should have used its power to oppose the BJP’s policies at that time.

The Chief Minister said the DMK government has taken clear steps to oppose NEET and protect the future of Tamil Nadu students. He mentioned that the state assembly passed a resolution against NEET and sent it to the President of India. He also said that the DMK government is standing firm on its promise to fight for education rights.

Stalin urged the people to question AIADMK’s double standards. He said the party is pretending to care about students only to gain votes, while at the same time supporting the BJP, which enforces NEET across the country.

NEET has remained a controversial issue in Tamil Nadu, where many students and parents believe the exam puts rural and underprivileged students at a disadvantage. Several political parties in the state, including the DMK, have demanded its removal, arguing that it increases pressure and limits access to medical education.

As elections approach, the NEET issue has once again become a hot topic. Stalin’s remarks aim to expose what he calls the “hypocrisy” of the AIADMK, and strengthen his party’s stand on education reforms.
