Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to inaugurate the Kuppam Branch Canal on February 26, a significant step towards fulfilling the government’s commitment to provide Krishna water to the drought-prone Kuppam constituency in Chittoor district. Constructed under Phase-II of the AVR HNSS project at a cost of ₹560.29 crore, the canal aims to irrigate 6,300 acres of land and provide drinking water to 4.02 lakh people in Kuppam and Palamaneru constituencies.
This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to development, with additional plans for municipality upgradation, establishment of revenue and police divisions, and significant investments in infrastructure and social welfare programs in the region. The distribution of house pattas to thousands of deserving individuals further exemplifies the administration’s commitment to grassroots empowerment and inclusive growth in Kuppam.
