Chlorine Gas Leak Hospitalizes Nursing Students in Mathura
A chlorine gas leak from a cylinder within the Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) office campus in Mathura led to the hospitalization of at least 10 nursing students, with many others experiencing symptoms of breathlessness and vomiting. The gas leak was first discovered on Thursday evening, prompting a call to the fire department to address the issue.
The leak recurred on Friday afternoon, leading to health issues among nursing students at the Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM) training school. Some students coughed and experienced anxiety attacks, while a few vomited out of anxiety. They were swiftly taken to the hospital, and all are reported to be in stable condition. The incident highlights the need for prompt action to address potentially hazardous situations and ensure the safety of individuals on the premises.
