Following the formation of the BJP government in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has embarked on realizing the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Assembly polls. With two Deputy Chief Ministers and a nine-member cabinet, the state government swiftly initiated the implementation of its schemes.
Chief Minister Sai, after taking office, promptly took significant steps, including providing houses for 18 lakh homeless individuals, purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre, and clearing two years’ pending bonus for farmers. Additionally, the government announced five years of free rice for the impoverished. Sai affirms that these measures are just the beginning, and all guarantees made by the Prime Minister will be honored.
While critics question the transparency of the initiatives, political analysts see this as an opportunity for Sai to demonstrate effective governance and potentially become the first Chief Minister to fully implement Prime Minister Modi’s assurances, surpassing other BJP-ruled states.
