Chennai’s Formula 4 Night Street Race Postponed Due to Cyclone Impact
The eagerly anticipated Formula 4 night street race in Chennai has been postponed to the next racing season, according to Racing Promotions Private Limited (RPPL). The decision, made in consultation with the State government, comes in the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung. Originally scheduled for December 9 and 10, the State government had prepared elaborate arrangements for the event.
However, the heavy rain and relief efforts following the cyclone prompted the government to request a rescheduling. Unfortunately, the technical calendar constraints ruled out alternative dates in December or even January 2024. RPPL expressed regret and assured enthusiasts that the event would be shifted to the upcoming racing season, with the calendar set to be announced in the coming days.
