Chennai’s Police Commissioner, Sandeep Rai Rathore, conducted an inspection of security arrangements in T. Nagar, a bustling commercial hub, ahead of the upcoming Deepavali festival scheduled for November 12, 2023. Rathore directed police personnel to maintain heightened vigilance and ensure a crime-free environment as residents engage in last-minute festive shopping for clothing, firecrackers, and sweets. Special security measures, as per Rathore’s instructions, are also implemented in other prominent commercial areas like Pondy Bazaar, Purasaiwalkam, Mylapore, Flower Bazaar, Washermenpet, and Koyambedu.

Accompanied by Additional Commissioner Prem Anand Sinha and Joint Commissioner M.R. Sibi Chakravarthi, Rathore visited key locations such as Ranganathan Street, Usman Road, and the T.
