Chennai Gastroenterologist Elected Academic Governor for ACG India Region

Dr. T.S. Chandrasekar, Chairman and Chief Interventional Gastroenterologist at MedIndia Hospitals in Chennai, has been elected as the Academic Governor for the India region by the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). Dr. Chandrasekar assumed this prestigious position during the annual scientific meeting of the ACG held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on October 22.

His term will span three years starting in 2023. ACG, an international medical association of gastroenterologists established in 1932, boasts a membership of over 14,000 physicians from 86 countries. In his new role, Dr. Chandrasekar will be responsible for planning, implementing, mentoring, and overseeing academic programs and research initiatives aimed at benefiting Indian members of the ACG.
