Chennai Corporation Commissioner Inspects Civic Projects in CM’s Constituency Kolathur
Chennai Corporation Commissioner J. Radhakrishnan conducted an inspection of ongoing civic projects in Kolathur, the assembly constituency of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. Alongside GCC officials, Radhakrishnan examined road work progress on several key streets including Krishnadas Main Road, Thiruvallur Salai, Rangasaee Street, Somasundaram Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, and Periyar Nagar Streets. These interior roads were recently refurbished ahead of the northeast monsoon season.
The Commissioner also assessed stormwater drain projects, part of the Capital Funds of the Corporation, amounting to ₹17.39 crore in Kolathur. Zone 6, which includes Kolathur, is currently executing 541 road projects covering 82 km out of a total of 743, with 302 roads already completed in the past one-and-a-half months. Additionally, a long-term stormwater drain initiative connected to the Kosasthalaiyar project is in progress, with 24 km completed in Kolathur. These endeavors aim to enhance the civic infrastructure in the Chief Minister’s constituency.
