Chemical Factory Blast in Delhi Injures Five Firefighters

An explosion at a chemical factory in Delhi resulted in injuries to five firefighters, according to a statement by Delhi Fire Services (DFS) Director, Atul Garg. The incident occurred on Wednesday at 10.56 p.m. in the Bawana Industrial Area.

Firefighters had responded to a call about a blaze at the factory and dispatched 30 fire tenders to the scene. While they were engaged in extinguishing the flames, a chemical tank exploded, causing a collapse of a wall and gate, which in turn injured five personnel.

The injured firefighters, identified as Dharamveer, Ajeet, Narender, Jaiveer, and Vikas, were promptly taken to Maharshi Balmiki Hospital where they received first aid for their injuries.
