CEO Mother’s Gruesome Act Unveiled: High Dose of Cough Syrup Administered Before Strangulation

The investigation into the shocking case of a Bengaluru-based CEO mother strangling her 4-year-old son in a Goa service apartment has taken a grim turn. According to police sources, the accused, Suchana Seth, allegedly administered a high dose of cough syrup to her son before committing the heinous crime. Two empty bottles of cough syrup were recovered from the crime scene.

It is suspected that the child, in a state of dizziness due to the syrup, did not resist when smothered with a pillow. The police are awaiting the post-mortem report, confirming the cause of death as suffocation. The accused CEO, currently under medical evaluation, had been planning the crime for some time, as indicated by a social media post with a hashtag expressing concern for her son’s future, posted on October 10, 2023.

The investigation also suggests a motive related to denying visitation rights to the child’s father, leading to the mother’s attempt to cut off contact between them. The accused’s former husband has been summoned for questioning by the police.
