The Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh, currently operating from the old AU campus, is awaiting the state government’s approval to fill teaching and non-teaching staff positions. The university aims to commence new courses in the 2024-2025 academic year but needs additional staff to meet the approved strength.
Presently, the teaching staff stands at 18 out of an approved strength of 95, while the non-teaching staff comprises 12 individuals against a sanctioned strength of 106. Tribal welfare organizations are urging both Union and State governments to expedite the staffing process and support the university’s expansion, especially with the construction of its permanent campus in Saluru constituency underway.
