CBI Arrests Two Delhi Police Officials for Bribery

In a significant crackdown on corruption, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two Delhi Police officials, a Head Constable and a Constable from PS Sagarpur, for accepting a bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh.

The arrest followed a complaint by an individual who alleged that the officers demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh to avoid implicating him in a narcotics-related case.

After negotiations, the amount was reduced to Rs 3 lakh, but the complainant reported the matter to the CBI. The agency set up a trap, catching the officers red-handed while they accepted the bribe.

Both officials were taken into custody, and the bribe money was seized. The investigation is ongoing, with the CBI determined to uncover the full extent of their involvement in illegal activities.
