C.T. Ravi Urges Change in Mindset for Unity Among Indian Muslims

Senior BJP leader C.T. Ravi has called for a shift in the mindset of Indian Muslims, emphasizing the need to dissociate from the ideologies of historical figures like Ghazni, Ghori, and Babar, whom he deemed dangerous. Speaking to reporters, Ravi highlighted the historical destruction of temples during the times of Ghazni, Ghori, Khilji, Aurangzeb, and other Mughals, noting that 42,000 temples were razed.

He urged Indian Muslims not to identify with these invaders but embrace ideals of figures like Shishunala Sharif and APJ Abdul Kalam for a strengthened sense of fraternity. Ravi suggested that some Muslims might even find it “haram” to pray in mosques built after destroying temples, indicating a potential shift in mindset. While disapproving of BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde’s derogatory remarks against CM Siddaramaiah, Ravi stressed the importance of respecting seniors and positions, stating that using singulars on the CM amounts to disrespect. Hegde had strongly reacted to Siddaramaiah’s remarks about attending the Ram Mandir inauguration.
