In a bid to address water pollution challenges in Peenya Industrial Area, BWSSB plans to implement cutting-edge Japanese technology for treating chemical wastewater. Recognized as the largest industrial area in Asia, Peenya faces significant environmental impacts due to untreated wastewater. By introducing a state-of-the-art mobile Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), BWSSB aims to provide accessible and efficient wastewater treatment solutions to small and micro-industries.
This initiative not only mitigates pollution but also promotes sustainable industrial practices by enabling industries to reuse treated water. BWSSB Chairman V. Ram Prasath Manohar emphasizes the transformative potential of this technology, envisioning Peenya as a global leader in eco-friendly industrial zones. A technology exhibition slated for April 23 will further showcase the innovative approach towards water management in the industrial area.
