Goa Police have apprehended a bus conductor, identified as Anuj Singh, for allegedly sexually harassing a 19-year-old girl student during her travels. The victim filed a complaint, asserting that she had been subjected to harassment by the accused over the past two years. Anuj Singh, a resident of Bardez in Goa and native of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by Mapusa Police.
The charges against him include offenses under sections 354, 354-A, 354-D, 506 (ii) IPC, Sec 8, 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act, and Sec 4, 12 of the POCSO Act. The police action underscores the commitment to address and prosecute cases of sexual harassment for the safety and well-being of the public.
