BSP Leader Armstrong’s Murder: Arrests Made Amid Rising Tensions

Following the brutal murder of Bahujan Samaj Party leader K. Armstrong by a gang disguised as food delivery executives, the Chennai police have apprehended eight suspects. The attack, which occurred in Sembium on July 5, also left two of Armstrong’s friends injured.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed his condolences and directed the police to expedite the investigation. The incident sparked protests by Armstrong’s supporters, leading to a road blockade in north Chennai and causing significant traffic disruptions. Police believe the murder was motivated by previous enmity, and further investigations are ongoing.
