Brutal Assault Unleashed: Chennai Police Pursue Suspects
In a disturbing incident, the Greater Chennai Police (GCP) have apprehended a 22-year-old individual and launched a manhunt for three others involved in a vicious assault on a 34-year-old police constable and his cousin. The altercation erupted near a railway track as the victims attempted to discard garbage, with the assailants initiating a violent confrontation, wielding stones and liquor bottles.
Both victims sustained injuries and were rushed to a private hospital for medical attention. Following a formal complaint, the Tiruvottiyur police have registered a case of attempted murder against the arrested suspect, identified as M. Santhosh, while intensifying efforts to locate his absconding accomplices, amplifying concerns over public safety and law enforcement in the region.
