BNP Condemns Pakistan Govt’s Action Against Peaceful Protest in Balochistan
The Balochistan National Party (BNP) has strongly condemned the Pakistani government’s actions to block a peaceful march from Wadh to Quetta, protesting against the illegal detention of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders and activists.
Party leader Akhtar Mengal criticized the government’s attempt to stop the march by placing roadblocks and using coercion, asserting that no force could shake the Baloch people’s determination.
Despite heavy police crackdowns, including arrests and the disruption of communication services, the protestors remain resolute. Mengal denounced the authorities for shelling and firing on peaceful participants and for endangering their lives by scattering nails on the roads.
He expressed confidence that the Baloch movement, led by the BYC, would continue with dignity and determination, regardless of the hurdles imposed by the state. The march and protests are focused on highlighting state brutality, enforced disappearances, and the illegal arrests of Baloch leaders.
