BJP Rajasthan Core Group Meeting to Finalize Assembly Poll Candidates
The BJP’s core group meeting for Rajasthan is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on Tuesday to make decisions regarding pending candidate names for the November 25 Assembly elections. Attending this important meeting are prominent BJP leaders, including Rajasthan election in-charge Prahlad Joshi, state in-charge Arun Singh, former CM Vasundhara Raje, state President C.P. Joshi, Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore, Deputy Leader of Opposition Satish Poonia, and Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Meghwal, and Kailash Chaudhary.
They will be joined by General Secretary, Organisation, Chandrashekhar and co-in-charge Vijaya Rahatkar. The party is particularly concerned about the protests in the state by followers of leaders denied tickets, with some candidates turning rebels and announcing their intention to contest as independents. The BJP is actively working on its second list of candidates to address these concerns.
