BJP MP Pratap Simmha Turned Away from Ram Temple Foundation Ceremony

Mysuru MP Pratap Simmha faced opposition and was denied entry at the foundation ceremony for the construction of a Ram temple in Gujjegowdanapura near Mysuru. The village leaders and locals accused the BJP MP of being anti-Dalit and promoting discord among various groups. Despite efforts by JD(S) leaders to mediate, the locals remained adamant against Simmha’s participation in the ceremony.

They pointed to his alleged anti-Dalit stance during Mahisha Dasara celebrations. Simmha, in turn, blamed Congress supporters for orchestrating the incident, emphasizing that the opposition was driven by the party’s awareness of its inability to defeat him in the constituency. The foundation ceremony coincided with the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
