Telangana BJP president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy dismissed allegations of “vendetta politics” behind the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) arrest of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter and BRS MLC K. Kavitha, asserting her involvement in “dubious liquor deals” with the AAP government in Delhi.
Reddy stated that the ED probe revealed evidence of Kavitha’s illegal liquor business and money laundering, distancing the BJP from the investigation. He criticized Kavitha for engaging in such activities, suggesting that she looted Telangana and engaged in questionable deals in Delhi. Reddy accused Kavitha of destroying evidence and obstructing the ED probe. He urged her to admit her involvement, apologize, and accept the court’s verdict, emphasizing the Modi government’s commitment to combating corruption.
Additionally, Reddy criticized the Congress government for baseless accusations against the Centre and its failure to address illegal belt shops, aligning with the BJP’s stance on the issue. He expressed confidence in winning a majority of seats in Telangana and the south, attributing this to Modi’s leadership and the government’s development initiatives without corruption. Reddy welcomed former BRS Wardhannapet MLA Aruri Ramesh into the BJP, highlighting the party’s growing support and launching a digital campaign against the Congress government’s alleged failures.
