Ban on Unauthorized Drone Use at Events in Jaipur
Using drones without permission at events such as weddings and parties in Jaipur could lead to trouble, as Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Kunwar Rashtradeep has imposed a ban on their use. Officials have clarified that only Nano drones, the smallest category, will be permitted in Jaipur, and even for these, permission must be obtained 24 hours in advance.
Rashtradeep explained that the decision was prompted by the increasing use of drones in the city, as well as the use of drones in criminal activities nationwide, leading security agencies to issue alerts.
The order aligns with guidance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation issued on August 25, 2021, categorizing drones into five categories. Four of these categories are entirely prohibited, leaving only Nano drones permitted for use.
