During his visit to Belagavi, B.S. Yediyurappa, former CM and senior BJP leader, dismissed any notion of rebellion within the party over ticket distribution, asserting unity among party members. Addressing reporters, he emphasized that while there may be minor differences of opinion, they would be resolved through dialogue and consultation.
Yediyurappa’s statements came amidst discontent among local leaders in several districts, including Koppal, Davangere, Shivamogga, and Belagavi, particularly regarding the nomination of Jagadish Shettar. Despite opposition from leaders like MP Iranna Kadadi and Prabhakar Kore, Shettar’s candidacy was confirmed by the party. Yediyurappa’s visit aimed to address concerns and ensure harmony within the party ranks ahead of the electoral campaign.
