Australian Military Helicopter Crashes Near Lindeman Island, Four Personnel Missing
A tragic incident occurred as an Australian Army MRH-90 Taipan helicopter crashed into the waters near Lindeman Island, off the coast of Queensland. The Department of Defence reported that the helicopter was participating in a night-time training activity as part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023, a joint military exercise between Australia and the US when it went missing late Friday night.
At the time of the crash, four crew members were on board the aircraft and are currently missing. In response to the situation, military and civilian search and rescue aircraft, along with watercraft, are conducting extensive search operations at the incident site.
