Arrests Made in Mangaluru Moral Policing Incident
In the wake of a moral policing incident in Mangaluru, Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district, two individuals, Akshay Rao and Shibin Paddikal, have been arrested. The police are currently investigating their affiliation with Hindu organizations. The incident occurred on Monday evening when Bajrang Dal activists confronted a young woman from Chikkamagaluru who was riding a scooter with a youth from a different religion.
The activists questioned and chastised the girl for being with a boy from another community. Tensions escalated as youths from both religions gathered, leading to a heated argument. The Pandeshwara police intervened, dispersing the crowd and bringing the duo to the police station for questioning.
