In a swift response to the hijacking of a trailer loaded with 25 tonnes of iron rods, the Madhavaram Milk Colony Police apprehended six individuals allegedly involved in the crime. The incident unfolded when the driver, Lakshmna Perumal, was attacked and overpowered by a group of unidentified assailants while resting on the roadside.
Prompt investigation, including scrutiny of CCTV footage and GPS tracking, led the police to locate the stolen vehicle near Arumanthai, Sholavaram. Among the arrested suspects are Senthilvel, Muruganandam, and Sivakumar, with efforts underway to apprehend two more individuals involved in the hijacking.
