Two women have been apprehended by the Washermenpet police following the death of a 40-year-old woman neighbor. The victim, V. Muniyammal, reportedly engaged in a dispute with her neighbor, Shanthi, over a bucket of water placed in front of her house. The altercation escalated, leading to Shanthi and her daughter Valli allegedly assaulting Muniyammal with a wooden stick.
Although initially treated at the Government Stanley Hospital, Muniyammal later experienced health complications and tragically passed away shortly after being rushed back to the hospital by her husband. Shanthi and Valli have been arrested and presented before a judicial magistrate as part of ongoing legal proceedings.
