Arrests Made in Chennai Petrol Bomb Attack Linked to Drug Complaints

Chennai police arrested ‘Janta’ Santhosh Kumar and Manoj Kumar for hurling a petrol bomb at a woman named Amudha, who had previously reported their drug-dealing activities. The attack occurred after a series of confrontations, including a knife assault on Amudha’s brother-in-law and previous arrests of the suspects for creating disturbances near her home. Despite being repeatedly arrested, the suspects had been released on bail, escalating tensions in the locality. The petrol bomb incident marks the latest violent retaliation against Amudha for her anti-drug complaints. The police have now detained both individuals to prevent further threats.
