Arrest of Two Lashkar-e-Taiba Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with other security forces, successfully arrested two hybrid terrorists affiliated with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The operation took place in Baramulla Town following specific information about the movement of terrorists.
The joint team of Police, Army (46RR), and CRPF (53Bn) set up a Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) at Azadgunj Old Town, Baramulla. During the checking process, two suspects were intercepted who attempted to flee but were apprehended skillfully by the security forces.
From their possession, the security forces recovered incriminating material, along with arms and ammunition, including one pistol, one pistol magazine, four live pistol rounds, and one grenade. Both suspects have been taken into custody and are being held at a police station. The successful operation has led to the disruption of potential terrorist activities and further strengthens the authorities’ efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
