Arrest of Gogi Gang Sharpshooter in Extortion and Firing Case

The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has successfully apprehended a sharpshooter affiliated with the notorious Gogi Gang, who was wanted in connection with extortion and firing incidents in the national capital. The arrested individual, identified as Amit, alias Mittu, aged 27 and a resident of Salahpur Majra Dabas in Delhi, has a history of involvement in sensitive cases across the city. The arrest stems from a complaint made by a resident of Ladpur village in Rohini, Delhi, who reported an incident of firing at his house’s main gate on October 23.

Three notes demanding one crore rupees in extortion, along with threats from gang members Deepak and Dinesh Karala of the Gogi Gang, were found at the scene. The victim, engaged in the restaurant business, had received similar threats in the past. The police operation led to Amit’s arrest near Dwarkadhish Apartment, Sector 26, Rohini, with a loaded pistol in his possession.

Amit revealed his involvement in assisting the gang’s activities, including reconnaissance and issuing extortion threats, under the gang’s directives, highlighting the ongoing challenges posed by criminal organizations in the city.
