Army Foils Pakistani Drone Intrusion in Jammu and Kashmir
Army troops stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district thwarted an intrusion attempt by a Pakistani drone, firing nearly two dozen rounds at the unmanned aircraft. Despite the army’s efforts, the drone managed to retreat to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after briefly hovering over Indian posts in the Mendhar and Krishna Ghati sectors.
Following the incident, a search operation was launched to ensure there was no unauthorized airdropping of weapons or narcotics. Additionally, troops opened fire in response to suspicious movement near the LoC in the Sarla area of Poonch sector, though no evidence was found upon investigation.
