Andhra Pradesh’s ₹19,000 Crore Revenue Loss Under Scrutiny by CM Naidu

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has alleged a massive revenue loss of ₹19,000 crore due to illegal mining activities under the YSRCP rule from 2019 to 2024. During a press conference, Naidu presented a White Paper detailing misappropriations in land, mines, minerals, and forests. He accused YSRCP leaders of illegal sand mining, non-collection of seigniorage from minor minerals, and monopolistic practices in mineral supplies.

Naidu highlighted significant illegal activities, including the diversion of forest lands and smuggling of red sanders. He vowed to hold every corrupt individual accountable, citing specific cases of illegal mining and encroachment in forest lands. The Chief Minister emphasized that the previous administration’s actions, such as the controversial allocation of mangrove forests for housing, have had dire environmental and economic consequences.
