Andhra Pradesh to Set Up Task Force to Address Land Disputes

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced the formation of district-level joint task force committees to tackle land disputes and land-grabbing cases. The committees will consist of key officials, including the District Collector, Superintendent of Police, Revenue Divisional Officer, and Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The move follows a review of the Revenue Department, which identified land disputes as a major issue. The task forces will ensure accountability, with disciplinary action for officials found guilty of fraud or negligence. Additionally, Naidu instructed officials to review housing pattas under the Jagananna housing scheme and remove ineligible beneficiaries.
