BJP leader Amit Malviya announced his intention to file a criminal defamation case against Kolkata-based lawyer Santanu Sinha for allegedly making defamatory remarks about him on social media.
Malviya described the comments as slanderous and malicious, emphasizing the widespread dissemination by opposition parties further aggravated the defamation. Sinha, in response, expressed readiness for a legal battle, asserting that his remarks were misinterpreted but refusing to retract the post despite expressing regret if it caused offense to Malviya.
